“My practice of ASIAN BODYWORK THERAPY helps people maintain or regain their health through physical manipulation and pressure. It is based on Zen Shiatsu, Zero Balancing, Myofascial Release, and CranioSacral Therapy. You wear loose, comfortable clothing and lie on a cotton futon placed over a Therapeutic Magnetic Grid. No oils are used. I notice where your tension is, where your strengths and weaknesses are and where you have the tendency toward illness. I pay special attention to problems associated with the neck and the back. Pain relief and freedom of movement is a priority.
The feet are addressed to maximize energetic and physical alignment. There is gentle stretching, pressure, traction, and torsion applied through the limbs, torso, hips, and neck. My work is nurturing, slow, and gently releases blockages on the physical/psychological levels. You may feel more grounded, stable, positive, and pain free.
I am a DIPLOMAT OF ASIAN BODYWORK THERAPY (NCCAOM), CERTIFIED IN ZERO BALANCING, also a CERTIFIED SHIATSU INSTRUCTOR (AOBTA), teaching at the Swedish Institute College (NYC) since 1992. Thirty years experience in Qigong, Aikido, bodywork and alignment, including 20 years as a professional ballet dancer, provides insights into my treatments.”
