“As a massage therapist, I work with individuals living with soft-tissue pain and mobility issues. Clients who typically come to see me are those who have been suffering with long-term pain from either an accident, injury or perhaps recovering from surgery. Additionally, I have a number of clients who see me, because they are working with a particular medical condition, and accordingly, have felt that massage therapy augments the work and/or treatment that they may be receiving from other providers. I also see clients who simply use massage for pure relaxation.
I have 3 primary areas of focus. 1). Massage: Using a variety of soft-tissue healing techniques, such as myofascial, deep tissue, orthopedic and sports massage. 2). Active Isolated Stretching: Works extremely well to help elongate muscle and soft tissue after injury or before a sporting event. 3). Energy Work
Each session with a client may be customized given any of the three practice areas that I've mentioned: Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, or Energy. In most cases, clients will be given "home work" to carry the benefits of the session beyond the scheduled time in the office.”
