Vickii Engel Thomas, Massage Therapist in Westminster
“The focus of my work is assisting clients in taking better care of themselves and living a more conscious, healthy life. I work with people who feel "stressed". They often recognize that they are stuck in old patterns of behavior and belief that are not working for them anymore, but they don't know how to change. At the start of each session, I listen for what the client wants and discern how I might be helpful. I integrate massage therapy with conscious living counseling, body language awareness, breathwork, chakra energy work, meditation, and guided imagery as appropriate for the client.

Deborah Dickerson, Massage Therapist in Salisbury

Massage Therapist, NCTMB, LMT, RMT
“Massage is therapeutic and also happens to be relaxing! Massage compliments traditional medical treatments as well as physical therapy, chiropractic care and acupuncture. Research shows both physical and mental benefits from massage and other types of bodywork. I encourage people to include massage on a regular basis to help reduce stress and improve wellness. Ask about seated massage for your next event or as a benefit in the work place! Massage Therapists can not provide medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Massage is not a substitute for medical care, always consult a healthcare professional.

Joan Posey, Massage Therapist in Indian Head
Verified by HealthProfs.com
Massage Therapist, LMT, HTCP
“I believe in helping my clients achieve total body health - physically, emotionally and spiritually - through Therapeutic Massage, Reflexology and/or Healing Touch (an energy-based approach to healing). Hands-on treatment is important because touch is a powerful way to let others know they are cared for. People who sometimes feel "off-center" or "out of sorts" will often benefit from a Healing Touch session restoring harmony and balance in the body's energy system. Other benefits include pain relief, emotional release, and spiritual growth. Therapeutic massage can help those with poor circulation, muscular and joint pain, stress and headaches.
