At East West College in Portland, Oregon; I completed the 801 hour program specializing in Myofascial Realignment while including modalities in Trigger Point, Postural Assessments, PNF, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Structural Integration. I was on the path towards nursing working in the Trauma Unit. There, I realized that my true healing potential to assist others along their unique journey towards ultimate well being, and my healing intentions was best expressed through the power of touch. I now focus my practice mostly for those experiencing chronic pain, motor vehicle accidents, and post surgery as well as those in sports training.

I am passionate about empowering people to feel in control of their health through massage and primarily fitness. My goal with my clients is to give them the experience and plan that is unique to them. The plan that I develop will lead them to not only hit their fitness goals but also to give them enough knowledge to be able to sustain the healthy lifestyle.

I practice an intuitive art form rooted in scientific knowledge. Traditional medicine does not specialize in treating the myofascial restrictions that may be involved in chronic pain conditions or structural dysfunction. The tried and true techniques of deep tissue massage and myofascial release aim to restore the normal functioning of fascia by breaking up the glue that binds these adhesions. I do this by applying slow, sustained pressure, gradually working up to the threshold of what you can tolerate.

With 26 years experience, I have a skilled, intuitive sense of touch. My specialties include trigger point massage (NMT), craniosacral therapy, and Bowen Therapy. Most of my clients see me for regular stress management or postural and overuse issues resulting in muscle pain. With respect to pressure I will listen to your tissues and assess what is needed. I accept motor vehicle accident cases and can bill for this directly. I am also a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach and offer health and wellness coaching sessions.

My goal for any treatment is to help bring the body back into a state of coherence. When we’re in a state of coherence, our breath is expansive, our muscles are hydrated, our digestion is strong, our skin and eyes glow, and we feel more like ourselves. This is the state where healing and regeneration happens. With continued treatment and practice over time, this state can become more of a baseline.
