Nicole Burnett is a graduate of SHI Medical Massage School in Lebanon, Ohio. She is a licensed massage therapist through the Ohio State Medical Board and also holds her national certification in Therapeutic Massage and Body Work. She has additional training in CranioSacral Therapy Levels I, II, III, S.E.R. and Lymphatic Drainage through the renown Upledger Institute. In addition she is trained in Brain Therapy from the Chickly Institute. She also holds certifications in Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Energy Therapy, and is trained in the John Barnes Method of Myofascial Release.

My goal as a massage therapist is pain prevention and early recognition of common strain patterns before they become pain patterns. I accomplish this through structural assessments; focusing on myoskeletal symmetry and customizing your care through implementing modalities which are known to work for myofascial pain and myoskeletal alignment. Clinical therapeutic sessions may be accompanied with heat, cryotherapy, and stretching/strengthening.

My ideal client is someone who has been through or is going through the cancer journey. I work with breast cancer clients who have lymphedema, need scar work or tissue mobilization to help ease pain and discomfort. I teach self care techniques to help the healing process daily. I work with those who have burn injuries for scar work and active isolated stretching. Those who have had head or neck cancer to help alleviate lymphedema, relieve scar tightness and pain and to help lighten scar appearance. My intent is to help anyone who receives a massage get relief from whatever is going on with their body.

I enjoy working with women to help them find peace and maintain their mind/body alignment.

I am a Medical Massage Therapist. I have been practicing since 2001. I see myself as a facilitator as the body is going through it's own healing process. I am able to tailor my session to each individual's ailment.

Initially my background and training was for folks like me, servicing the needs of people at risk for Primary and Secondary Lymphedema conditions due to lymph node removal from cancer and other surgeries. While educating and supporting Cancer Survivors is still my passion I have learned to scale treatment based on the average clients' individual needs; able to incorporate a varied skill set for a truly customizable experience based on what my guests' needs are at each session. Be that comprehensive care after traumatic illness or injury or general maintenance and self care for otherwise healthy and active individuals.
